Mango Turmeric Protein Shake

1 serving protein powder (whey or vegan)
1-2 tablespoons coconut cream or milk (from the can)
1/2 ripe banana, frozen works great
1/2 mango or peach
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 thin slice fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup water or milk of choice
1/2 cup ice cubes


Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. You can also add parsley or spinach to increase the nutrient value.

Why I reccomend this: This is a great post work out (or any time because it's yummy) protein shake. It's important to get an easily digested protein source after a workout to stop the catabolic effect of what you just did. Whey and vegan protein powders are easy to digest, then adding turmeric, ginger, and coconut milk all help the body to reduce inflammation.
